The big news
Bangkok residents get flood information they can actually read and trust. GunWaree brings scattered public data on river and canal levels, rain, road flooding and dams into one map, and shows how fresh each number is. Its transparent rule-based risk level for the Chao Phraya at Ayutthaya refuses to guess when data is stale. Residents can check conditions near them, get alerts and file incident reports, while admins approve alerts and control an ESP32 water-level test rig. Honest data, when it matters most.

What it does
A civic flood early-warning prototype aggregating public hydrological data with freshness indicators, a rule-based risk level, resident alerts and incident reports, and an admin console linked to an ESP32 water-level rig. Built with Python, FastAPI, SQLite, pandas and scikit-learn, a MapLibre GL front end, and Arduino C++ firmware, on Railway and Vercel.
